Monkey Mask

Papier mache capuchin monkey mask, based on my small capuchin glove puppet. I’m not sure where I’m going with this (and it’s not finished) but I’m planning on spending some time with a mask practitioner later on in the year, exploring character. I’m currently continuing to explore the strange victorian “doll” character (pictured… even I’m creeped out) and her relationship with her monkey. My thoughts so far are… some kind of gothic horror (but with comedic elements) but also looking at exotic pet ownership.
