Rooster lays an Easter egg
Today is Easter Sunday so it seems like the perfect time to share this short animation I made yesterday… It was inspired by the true story of a rooster that was tried for witchcraft in Basel, Switzerland in 1474, for laying eggs. The rooster was considered to be possessed by the devil, and it was believed that witches would use eggs laid by roosters for casting spells.
The crows of roosters can be heard all over Blanca. I hear one several times a day from Casa Jasmin. I love the sound so much and I knew very early on after my arrival that I wanted to include the rooster in the work I produce here! Casa Jasmin was also clearly used for keeping poultry, as evident from the stash of chicken coops in the “garden” area.
